Chief Executive Officer Lauren leads 3D Enviro, a pioneering women-owned small business committed to excellence, integrity, and scientific expertise. Building on the strong foundation established by her father, Scott, over two decades ago, Lauren has successfully grown the company by leveraging her background in science and exceptional leadership abilities. With a deep understanding of the importance of a positive workplace culture, Lauren is dedicated to fostering an environment that upholds strong values and respects its employees. Her experience as an outdoor education guide and middle school science teacher has equipped her with the patience and interpersonal skills necessary to navigate complex and challenging situations effectively. She is determined to advance the industry's moral code of conduct regarding contemporary environmental issues. Under her leadership, 3D Enviro assists federal agencies and private construction firms in identifying and safely remediating hazardous materials such as mercury, lead, asbestos, and PCBs. This work not only ensures regulatory compliance but also contributes to creating safer and healthier workplaces and communities. |
Patrice Young Neese, MSN, RN, ANP-BC
Chief Operating Officer Patrice has a clinical background in oncology and has a deep understanding of the well-known link between exposure to environmental hazardous substances and the development of serious health conditions such as organ failure, infertility, birth defects, and cancer. Eliminating unnecessary exposure to hazardous substances and maintaining a healthy lifestyle was a focus of Patrice’s clinical practice where she educated patients on the best-practices for healthy living and the importance of preventive health services. Throughout her career in medicine, Patrice held leadership roles in both the clinical and research settings which have given her the skills to her success as the Chief Operating Officer at 3D Enviro. Patrice is an expert in managing high-volume and high-throughput work in a fast-paced environment. She is adept in project management, strategic planning, and financial oversight. Patrice has played an integral role in 3D Enviro's growth and development for the past 20 years and continues to be an active leader and visionary for the company. |
Scott Neese, Ph.D.
Founder and Senior Scientific Advisor Dr. Scott Neese founded 3D Enviro in 2002 and has grown the business ever since. He has more than 25 years of experience developing decommissioning strategies; identifying the latest technologies for detecting hazardous materials and spills; implementing/refining remediation activities in old research laboratories and hospital facilities; and managing hazardous substances, wastes, and infectious biological agents. He is the Quality Assurance (QA) and Health and Safety Director for all of the company’s projects. In conjunction with the National Institutes of Health, Scott developed protocols published as an ANSI/AIHA/ASSE Z9.11-2008 Laboratory Decommissioning standard. His professional expertise also includes sustainable development employing pollution prevention and environmental management systems (EMS); product and process research and development (R&D); and the design and implementation of environmentally sound technologies to improve manufacturing process efficiency, increase productivity, and reduce compliance costs. Scott has conducted numerous environmental site assessments and developed cost-saving pollution prevention and/or waste minimization strategies for businesses, the government, research institutes, and hospitals. He's used this knowledge to create greener healthcare facilities and decontaminate old research laboratories and industrial sites for future renovations or demolition thereby averting environmental releases and exposure concerns. |
Nicholas Kiley
Vice President of Operations Nick is experienced in the field management and implementation of facility decommissioning strategies especially with regards to the detection and decontamination of mercury, as well as other hazardous materials commonly found in research laboratory settings. He has completed mercury surveys employing state-of-the-art, highly sensitive detection equipment and provided technical oversight of decommissioning efforts preceding building interior renovations or full demolition. Nick is familiar with federal facilities guidelines regarding decommissioning and the handling of hazardous materials and wastes. Additionally, he is familiar with the various construction and hazardous material handling health and safety protocols. As VP of Operations, he interfaces with hazardous material crews, contractors, facility personnel, and clients alike in order to complete projects on time, on budget, and within the defined scope. |

Andres Acosta
Environmental Scientist & Remediation Specialist Andres is a specialist in mercury, lead, and asbestos abatement at 3D Enviro, based in Bethesda, Maryland. Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Andres holds a B.E. in Environmental Engineering and a Master's in Sustainable Development and Environment. With more than seven years of experience, he excels in heavy metal decontamination and asbestos remediation. Andres' bilingual abilities in English and Spanish enhance his communication skills, making him an effective leader in hazardous material remediation projects. His commitment to using cutting-edge technologies ensures regulatory compliance and optimal environmental outcomes. Passionate about advancing environmental sustainability and promoting eco-friendly practices, Andres combines his expertise with a proactive approach to tackling contemporary environmental challenges. In his free time, Andres enjoys sailing, mountain biking, and occasionally playing the guitar. |
Emily LaPrade
Director of Administration After earning her degree in Biology from Virginia Tech, Emily began her professional career as a secondary science educator. She has since pivoted to an administrative role working with 3D Enviro. Emily’s background in science education helped her to develop many valuable skills including collaboration, leadership, and communication that have been integral in her position as Director of Administration. Her science education at Virginia Tech, as well as her experience teaching, has equipped her with important knowledge to understand the environmental issues required in this role. In her position as Director of Administration, Emily is actively involved in many key aspects of the business and ensures that processes are efficient and effective. |
Juan (Pablo) Medrano
Asbestos Field Supervisor Pablo Medrano is a highly experienced professional with over 16 years of expertise in asbestos, mold, and lead remediation. Residing in Maryland and originally from El Salvador, he holds certifications in asbestos and lead training, as well as an OSHA certification. In his role as a supervisor, Pablo is recognized for his exceptional work ethic, responsibility, and dedication to maintaining stringent safety standards. His professional mission is to provide effective and reliable remediation solutions while continuously advancing his knowledge in the field. Pablo is committed to teamwork and personal growth, upholding values of integrity and excellence. Outside of his professional life, he values family time and is dedicated to ongoing learning and collaboration. |
Lindsay Neese
Director of Business Development Lindsay has nearly 20 years of experience in marketing and business development. She ran the Marketing teams at large health systems in Virginia and North Carolina, diving deep into consumer decision making and choice in the digital age. She built out and led the marketing and business development efforts for the healthcare vertical of a technology company based in Silicon Valley. Most recently, Lindsay served as the Vice President of Marketing at a dialysis company that owned and operated centers around the country. 3D Enviro blends two things that Lindsay is incredibly passionate about: health and the environment. She works hard to ensure that 3D provides expertise in keeping environments clean and workspaces safe and healthy. Lindsay holds a bachelors degree from Virginia Tech and a Masters of Business Administration from William & Mary's Mason School of Business. |
Pedro Rivera
Asbestos Operations Manager Pedro Rivera is 3D Enviro’s resident expert in asbestos abatement, with 30 years of experience in the field. At 3D Enviro, Pedro oversees all team members working on asbestos abatement and hazardous material jobs, ensuring every project is handled with the highest safety standards. Before joining 3D Enviro, Pedro worked as an Asbestos Supervisor at a large asbestos abatement firm for more than 27 years, completing thousands of projects safely and efficiently. Outside of work, Pedro is passionate about giving back to his community and always seeks opportunities to support those in need. In his downtime, he enjoys spending quality time with his family at the beach, where he finds relaxation and inspiration in the soothing atmosphere of the ocean. |
Jake Weaver
Project Manager & Survey Team Supervisor Jake has a wide variety of experience in the environmental field ranging from identifying trends in stream health to sampling soil and groundwater to completing lead and mercury surveys utilizing unique and advanced detection equipment. His excellent organizational and writing skills paired with a background in multiple construction disciplines allows him to effectively communicate results and findings, while also ensuring remediation and decommissioning projects run smoothly for all contractors involved. Jake received a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He is committed to furthering his knowledge of environmental hazards and implementing the best tactics to facilitate their recovery and proper disposal. Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and dog and looking for new restaurants and hiking spots. |
